Check out the boxart for the upcoming “Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions” for Nintendo 3DS. This title is really a package of two games: Pac-Man Tilt and Galaga 3D Impact. Of the two, only Galaga will be in 3D – Pac-Man will likely be the first game for the 3DS that does not take advantage of the system’s 3D effects.

Siliconera has posted their preview of Pac-Man Tilt for the Nintendo 3DS. What’s interesting about this title is that it seems likely to be the first 3DS game that will not be in 3D. The game itself is described as feeling closer to a Sonic-type of title rather than the original arcade classic. Hopefully it does enough to distinguish itself from a typical run-of-the-mill platformer.

A new Pac-man title is in development for the Nintendo 3DS, called “Pac-Man Tilt”. Not much is known about the title so far, but we do know that it will be a side-scrolling action game featuring Pac-Man with arms and legs.

Gameplay will consist of navigating levels to get Pac-Man to the goal. Pac-Man himself will be able to jump and even transform into a ball in order to clear tight passages. Like the arcade original, Pac-Man will be able to eat power pellets which allow him to take out baddies that will chase him along the way.

The game will also make use of the motion sensing capabilities of the 3DS, allowing players to tilt the device to make the actual stages in the game tilt.
