3DS Buzz has it that there will be a neat logon face recognition feature for Konami’s virtual dating game for the 3DS, “Project LovePlus. Should someone else happen to use your system, their face will not be recognizable and they may get some feedback like “Who are you?”

Being greeted by the sight of your face should make this game more personal and quite engaging.

From an interview with producers, Akari Uchida and Akihiro Ishihara, we get more details about Love Plus 3DS, reports andriasang.

Talking to 4gamer, they mentioned, “We want to make it into a benchmark-type title for the 3DS. I can’t say too much, but we want to make full use of the 3DS’s capabilities.” Love Plus will make full use of the 3DS’s features such as the screen, microphone, camera, gyro sensor and networking abilities, which will bring girlfriends Manaka, Rinko and Nene closer to the players.

According to the article, when playing Love Plus, players will be able to switch views on the system (horizontal and vertical), but 3D can only be viewed when held horizontally. Ishihara mentioned, “We’ve thought quite a bit if horizontal holding is truly good, or if we should give up on the 3D output and keep it in book mode. One part of the answer we came up with is in the promotion movie.”
