We already know that caution should be used when allowing children under 6 years of age to play on the new Nintendo 3DS because of eye concerns. Siliconera reports about the new details on the lock feature that will be available on the new Nintendo 3DS.

This locking feature can to used to disable the slider, which converts viewing from 2D to 3D. Once it has been locked, a PIN will be needed to access the 3D feature.

This will give parents more control on their children’s playing habits.
