In a recent Famitsu article, it is being reported that while playing Dead or Alive: Dimensions in 2D mode, the game will run at 60 FPS. However while playing with 3D turned on, the framerate will drop to 30 FPS. Whether this type of framerate difference will be standard for games running in 2D vs. 3D is unknown, but it could end up being the norm due to the need for twice as many frames to display 3D effects.
