Although DS games will be able to work on the new 3DS, there could be some possible problems that could arise.

Nintendo 3DS gives us a run down of what it’s going to take to make DS games compatible with the new handheld. They report that while the peripheral support won’t be available, WiFi support will be. But, it is predicted that the biggest hurdle will be the different screen resolutions on the two systems. Will the graphics for the DS games be as good as the ones for the 3DS? – not likely, but they shouldn’t be too bad either.
